The role of ginseng in bodybuilding

Ginseng rootKorean ginseng, or human ginseng, is not only used in medicine: it also plays a key role in conscious bodybuilding because of its muscle-strengthening and energising properties. Of course, only if you use a product from a controlled source, in which case ginseng can perform miraculously.

Although the general consensus is that women are more inclined to make use of nature's healing powers, fortunately more and more men are realising how this Far Eastern herb can help their bodies. Not only because of its disease-preventing properties, but also for bodybuilding.

In fact, South Korean ginseng has a number of beneficial properties that make it highly recommended for athletes and bodybuilders: in addition to strengthening the immune system and thus making the body more resistant to harmful external influences, it also has a positive effect on muscle function and energy expenditure. In Asia, it has been natural for centuries for people to sip Korean ginseng tea in winter with other herbal blends.

Those wonderful ginsenosides

Korean ginseng owes its medicinal role, unsurprisingly, to the active ingredients it contains. These are collectively known as ginsenosides, which, among other amazing physiological effects, nourish and strengthen muscles by being incorporated into muscle tissue.

Bodybuilding in South KoreaYou can experience this effect in just a few weeks: not only will you be able to work harder, but your energy levels will be stabilised by lowering blood sugar and increasing insulin levels, and you will also avoid stress and fatigue.
Ginseng also has a positive effect on circulation by increasing oxygen uptake. This increases your stamina, while it also boosts adrenaline levels during intense training and competition.

Its active ingredients also have a positive effect on mental capacity. You'll be able to concentrate better and, thanks to its mood-boosting effects, you'll be more enduring in training and competitions.

But you should also remember that ginseng has a stimulating effect on the muscles, which speeds up the recovery process in the event of sports injuries. Its natural effect means that recovery starts sooner.

You'll simply be able to train better

We're not saying that, but one of our dear customers, Andor, who bought his first extract of Premium Korean Black Ginseng at the beginning of the summer. This is how he summed up his experience:

"I'm a 100kg plus "gym" person, I've done quite a few over the years, but I gave them up because of the many side effects. Black ginseng has been brutally good for me! I can see that it has an effect on my blood circulation because I'm much better at training since I've been taking it, although I take one spoonful in the morning and another spoonful in the afternoon before training instead of the recommended 1 spoonful. Then I go to work at night and I'm not tired at all, or at least not like I used to be."

But don't fall for the European ginseng swindle...

... look carefully at the packaging of the ginseng preparation of your choice.

If the list of ingredients does not include the active ingredient content of ginseng, but only the amount of powdered ginseng, you can be sure that the supplement will not be effective.

Difference between 2-year-old and 6-year-old ginseng rootWe cannot say it enough: premium quality ginseng should be harvested at 6 years of age, because most of the active ingredients are concentrated by that age. If the packaging of the product does not indicate the origin and age of the plant harvested and used, the ginseng used as the basis of the product was harvested when it was 1-2 years old.

As tempting as the price of these products may be, you will not experience the positive effects of ginseng with these products.

Why not?

It's because a dense extract of mature, 6-year-old Premium Black and Red Korean Ginseng root made from 100% ginseng has 35 times the active ingredient content of a supplement made from its younger counterpart. And that's a difference you can't ignore, right?
