6-year-old Korean ginseng, a natural cholesterol-lowering herb

Why are we afraid of high cholesterol?

High cholesterol can often be linked to diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and can be a complication of arterial stenosis, heart attack, stroke. Preventing these common diseases is of the utmost importance. Cholesterol metabolism is quite often upset over the age of 40 if the lifestyle is not right. Its general importance is also shown by the fact that one of the most subsidised items of expenditure in the pharmaceutical budget is cholesterol-lowering drugs. And in most cases, rapid cholesterol reduction does not require medication, but can be maintained with exercise and diet and 100% natural supplements such as 6-year-old Korean ginseng, which is unfortunately a common side-effect of medication.

High blood cholesterol (hypercholesterolaemia) is a serious problem in many countries. The rise in cholesterol is a major concern for health professionals as it is one of the primary risk factors for the development and growth of cardiovascular disease.

Cholesterol-lowering effects of Black GinsengHigh cholesterol levels are usually caused by obesity, an imbalance between energy intake and energy production. This imbalance results in fat accumulation in adipose tissues and an increase in LDL cholesterol levels in the blood and other organs.

What is good HDL cholesterol and bad LDL cholesterol?

Good HDL cholesterol and bad LDL cholesterolIn our body, the liver produces cholesterol from saturated fats in food, which is then combined with special proteins in all parts of our body and enters the bloodstream. There are two types of lipoprotein, or lipoproteins, which form this link, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL).
LDL - the 'bad' one - carries cholesterol from the liver to the cells. If too much of this builds up in the blood, it can seriously damage the blood vessel walls. It builds up under the lining of arteries, making their walls hard and stiff. This condition is called atherosclerosis, which can later lead to cardiovascular disease, for example.
HDL - the "good" one - removes excess cholesterol from the blood and returns it to the liver, which also reduces the risk of developing the diseases mentioned above. The cholesterol transported to the liver is used, among other things, to form bile acids, which help digest food.

The role of 6-year-old Korean ginseng as a natural cholesterol-lowering herb

6-year-old Korean ginseng rootKorean ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) is a well-known medicinal plant with various pharmacological and therapeutic properties. A recent study showed the beneficial effects of 6-year-old Korean ginseng on cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) in rats. To our knowledge, this is the first time such an effect has been reported. Quality ginseng is grown in this way. Find out more!

Effect of ginseng on cholesterol

One of the main properties of 6-year-old Korean ginseng is that it improves the condition of blood vessels and provides better blood circulation. The mechanism is that ginseng contributes to the release of nitric oxide, which helps to dilate blood vessels without any side effects. According to Korean and Western European research, 6-year-old Korean ginseng is effective in lowering cholesterol.

Ginseng and ginsenosides have long been studied for their therapeutic effects on the body's vitality, immune system, various types of cancers, inflammatory anomalies, nervous system disorders, reproductive system function and cardiovascular diseases. Recent studies have shown that ginseng strongly inhibits pancreatic lipase* activity in vitro, as well as its ability to reduce obesity and plasma lipid profile in experimental rodents fed high-fat diets.

Results showed that 6-year-old Korean ginseng was effective in reducing total serum cholesterol levels. It also increased food efficiency ratio (FER) and differential white blood cell count (WBC).

The ginseng capsules manufactured by BTGin have been specifically developed to contain as much Rg3 ginsenoside as possible. So now capsules can be a good choice for lowering cholesterol. Currently, the most Rg3 ginsenoside containing products (even for cholesterol reduction) are Ginseng Saponin Plus - Extra Strong capsules (click here!) and Enzimes Fermented Red Ginseng Extract 90g (click here!).

Summary: lowering cholesterol with herbs

In the 21st century, the risk of excessive accumulation of cholesterol in the body and cardiovascular disease is a major concern worldwide. Ginseng has long been used to treat heart failure and protect against cellular damage without cellular and environmental stress and without side effects. Numerous studies have been conducted on the cardioprotective effects of ginseng, showing that the 6-year-old Korean herb ginseng was effective in lowering LDL cholesterol levels. The histological changes in liver and adipose tissues induced by a high cholesterol diet were favourably reduced by 6-year-old Korean ginseng.

Review by a dear customer:

"My cholesterol problem was solved without medication. I have a device that I can use to measure my cholesterol myself. I have had a very good experience with Korean ginseng, my cholesterol was 6.2 mmol, after about a month or two it was 3.4 mmol!
Thank you for solving my problem!
